I am a essential worker and for the last 5 weeks I have seen traffic tidal to a few cars and many trucks, on my 25 minute drive to and from work. Today as we entered level 3 I noticed the increased traffic and I suddenly realised how comforting it was, to have company on my drive to my 2nd bubble. I hadn't realised how the lockdown had affected me, as I got to go to work 5 days a week. Yes I had to get up early to do shopping, especially since I finish work at 11pm and am studying fulltime, too. But apart from the shopping and the University going online, and no bush walks or visiting people my life was pretty normal. But now having others round, even if it has changed, is comforting and gives me a positive feeling. Realizing we went into lockdown with the same rate of infection that Italy started with, and knowing we are now level with Australia, whose infection rates started earlier but was less than ours, is amazing. I am proud and glad I was in the right team, for this battle. As Our Government says, we are a team of 5 million, and we are true All Blacks, heading to win the game against Covid 19. Thank You Team Mates, you will always remain in my prays, especially those that gave their lives, 'I will always remember you' God holds us all.
